About Dr. Bryer


Dr. Bryer received her undergraduate degree at Kalamazoo College. She completed her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at Wayne State University with a specialization in Neuropsychology. In the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California-San Diego, she finished her training.

Prior to focusing exclusively on her private practice in Plymouth, she was a staff neuropsychologist at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan for nearly five years and an assistant professor in the School of Medicine at Wayne State University. She was co-principal investigator on several federally funded grants examining the effect of acquired brain injury on functioning.

Currently, Dr. Bryer is an adjunct faculty member in the Wayne State University Psychology Department and has hospital privileges in the Detroit Medical Center. She continues to teach and lecture to postdoctoral students, medical residents, and individuals in the community at large on a multitude of topics related to cognition and behavioral functioning. Dr. Bryer is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society (INS), American Psychological Association (APA), Amercian Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN), American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), and the Michigan Psychological Association (MPA). She continues to be actively involved in research and has co-authored numerous articles and a book chapter. She presents at national and international conferences. Dr. Bryer currently owns her own private practice. She has been practicing in Plymouth since 2005.
